Your rights &
responsibilities

As a NHS patient registered at our practice, you have rights and responsibilites. Your rights of access to medical care and to make a complaint are described on this website.

Just as we, healthcare professionals, have responsibilites, so do our patients. The observance by all of their responsibilites will lead to the best possible outcome for our patients and the best working conditions for our staff.

If you cannot keep an appointment, please let us know in good time. Our staff cannot and will not tolerate verbal abuse or physical aggression. This is NHS policy and we thank-you in anticipation of your co-operation.

Your Medical Records

By law, you have access to your medical record (subject to certain restrictions). If you wish to see your medical records, or require copies of part of the record, please ask at reception. We will follow the requirements of the law when fulfilling your request.

The modern healthcare record is electronic. Historical records are paper.
